As part of our ongoing fundraiser through Kickstarter.com, producer-actor-creator-monster-maker Gordon “Dex” Smuder is interviewed at the Kickstarter Blog. He discusses how the show got started, what’s in store for the characters, and what audience members can look forward to in the TVTV True Meanin’ of Halloween Special in 2010.
“Being a fan of (here it comes!) Jim Henson, I couldn’t get it out of my head that he’d fought his entire career to bring puppetry into a place where it would be accepted as an adult entertainment form,” says Smuder. “Like animation has moved in the last decade or so, I wanted to produce something that would be strictly for grown-ups.”
Esmerelda gets some interference on a Babushka Buzz segment as she tries to talk with Leonid Brezhnev. This one’s got some cameos by crew members Alan Lloyd and Kristopher Bishop. In addition to doing a great job lighting our show, Alan can do a mean stoner. Not that the stoner is mean, most of them aren’t, really, they’re very laid back. A bit too laid back. But you get my point. Now, Kris, on the other hand… Let’s just say he was so committed to his art that it was hard to tell when he was out of character.

Well, the description in the store states “This shirt is very bad for you, and bad for people who will look at it. This is why you must order now!” The Buzz shirt goes for only $13.13 plus s/h, and the “Shirt that will Give You A Buzz” goes for $17.99!
